Aka Flute Man / David Wolfs Robe:

Aka Flute Man - David Wolfs Robe
Wolfs Robe is a great guy, a gifted musician, and a generous teacher. He plays from the heart, and his music shows it. He's about to release his fourth album, and we can't wait to hear it. Here's David Wolfs Robe aka Flute Man in his own words:

I like to think of myself as a Musician Preservationist. I look at it this way, I was given a gift of the Native American flute from it's traditions to it's construction and finally it's Legacy. I carry a key ...an important one, just like many of us and when we put all of those keys together they open doors, for everyone especially our young people who are Our Legacy!

I love to play my flutes in front of people and share in its beautiful sounds, but I also enjoy sharing its history and culture with all peoples so that that part of who we are remains alive and ever evolving.

Aka Flute Man /places & projects:
I must say even in this world of chaos when it seems like people such as I are always spinning our wheels trying to bring a sense of reality to a plastic society by sharing & teaching these traditions, "it is tough" but I have been blessed through all of that. I seem to be able to manifest what I need to get me to the next step, whether it is performing at the Grand Canyon and outreach programs at the rez schools surrounding it, or performing at the base of Devils Tower and having my music included in their National Park DVD. I also have been blessed with meeting fascinating people from all over the World, giving me the opportunity to learn about their lives, traditions and ways. I have recorded three CD's and soon I will release my fourth. My walk in this life is very clear to me now and it is simple; walk softly, spread love, compassion, healing, knowledge & peace through the flute.

Turtle Island Aka Flute Man on Native Radio.com:
When I discovered Native Radio.com in early 2006 I was drawn to it's format with the different genera's of Native American music , also the choices of how you can listen depending on what kind of system you have. I was drawn more to the issues that they cover such as the senseless killing of Wolves, Buffalo and Seals just to name a few. These are things that SHOULD be important to all people but especially our own Indigenous people. I was a listener to AIROS and still once in a while may take a little listen but every chance I get I will tune to www.nativeradio.com.

In our World today we and our issues are almost unheard of and Native Radio. com gives us a stronger voice. The only thing I would like to see and hear more of on NativeRadio.Com is Health issues among our People also effects that the ever changing environment is having on our Native People and their way of life. It would also be nice to see more info available for children such as on line educational programs, maybe partner with someone like Buffy Saint Marie and the cradle board project.
