On Ancient Dreams David uses the sounds of Nature, mixed with different instruments including his magic on the flute, to take you places he’s never gone before. Without question Ancient Dreams is Wolfs Robe’s finest work to date, and one we “highly suggest” you add to your collection. You will be glad you did!

Album Liner Notes:
"Who were these Ancient People of the South West such as the Mogollon, Senagwa and the Ancestral Pueblos? They left us so many gifts and yet so many mysteries. The Legacy of the Ancient Dreams come alive today through the people of the Hopi, Apache and Pueblo to name a few . We can also visit places like Montezuma Castle National Monument AZ, Petrified Forest National Park AZ, Petroglyph National Monument NM and Chaco Canyon National Park NM. Imagine stepping back in time as you listen to the haunting sounds of the Native American flute with Wolfs Robe as your guide. You will hear replica flutes from the Ancestral Pueblo (Anisazi) people, a bone flute from the 300 B.C. to 800 A.D. period and an actual antique river cane flute from the 1700's. This recording was created by Wolfs Robe to honor these Ancient Peoples of the South West so that their Spirit may continue to teach and guide us. May they never be forgotten."

Personal Notes from Wolfs Robe:
I consider myself blessed, for the past 5 years I have performed for the National Park Service and in that time I have performed at such places as Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Devils Tower, The Grand Canyon, Chaco Canyon, Montezuma Castle, Petroglyph National Park, Petrified Forest and Gila cliff Dwellings and in that time I have learned so much about our History but what fascinated me the most is these Ancient People of the South West. When I recorded "Visions of a Past" it honored some of these People but mostly origin stories weather it was Plains or South West, but in "Ancient Dreams" I focused on a specific area, the South West and its Ancient People.

The South West is very important to me being a flute Historian and Preservationist because of the most ancient flutes of North America being found in this area and also the Meso American trade routs that brought many great things including some of these ancient flutes. We need to ask ourselves, who were these people? Were they descendants of the Star People or maybe the Star People Themselves? They were and still are full of great Mystery.

I named some of these songs after a few of the places I have visited and played my own flutes there and I can tell you it stirs my soul to play in a place where these Ancient Peoples once thrived and their ghosts still do.

Thanks to NCH software I was able to be even more creative on this recording the sounds are crisp and clean and when you hear a high pitch bone whistle you don't want to turn it down it's smooth. I know now after the past 3 CD's and now with my fourth I am ready practice time is over, and we will see what I will come up with in the Future but for now enjoy. Thank You all for supporting what I do and keeping me going it means the world to me. "Walk in Beauty" Wolfs Robe
