The Sovereign Cherokee Nation Tejas

The Sovereign Cherokee Nation Tejas is the Texas Cherokee band that were granted sovereignty in 1836 by Sam Houston, then President of the Republic of Texas.

The SCNT came to what was known as new Spain. Spain gave the Nation a land grant that extended from Nacogdoches in the east to the Rio Grande in the west north to the Canadian border east to the east boundary of new Spain then south to the red river back to Nacogdoches.

We were allies to Mexico when they won their independence from France in 1811, and signed a treaty with the provisional government of the republic of Texas in 1835, Sam Houston and Chief Bowles were signators to the treaty.

World Acceptance Corp.

World Acceptance Corporation is one of the largest small-loan consumer finance companies in the United States and Mexico. Our client asked for a "Spartan but classy" look.

"On a final note, Sandy McLean, CEO, loves the new site and asked me to pass on his appreciation and thanks for a great job." Jim Rosenauer

Faces of WomanSpirit

Welcome to the Faces of WomanSpirit website. This site is designed to honor the Goddess and Her many guises. It is dedicated to Her Face as She reveals It through the Moon, the Planets, Worlds, Time, and of course yourself. The discovery of The Faces of WomanSpirit was obtained through the Shamanic Journey's performed by Katherine Torres as she gave honor to the request of the Goddess to know Her.

Michael Bucher

Michael Bucher's Cherokee ancestors go back to the Trail of Tears and earlier. Prior to the forced removal many Cherokees moved to S.E. Missouri and N.E. Arkansas. Mike and his sisters and brother are only the second generation not to be born in S.E. Missouri. They have been told the stories passed down from generation to generation and encouraged to stay close to their culture.

He is reminded by his mother and great uncle, and by the words of his grandmother and great aunt who have walked on, not to forget the stories and struggles of his people and all Indigneous people.

Robert Mirabal's Star Road Records

After a four-year hiatus, Robert Mirabal is back with the strongest album of his career. The thirteen tracks on "In the Blood" blend scenes from the American experience-past, present and future-with themes from contemporary Native life, some sung in English and others in Mirabal's native tongue, Tiwa.

He has also released Pueblo Christmas on Star Road Records. Pueblo Christmas is a truly unique presentation of these favorite Christmas classics. I particularly like Robert's historical background on these songs and the timeline of Native American history when they were composed.

FarOutThings.com

FarOutThings.com is the place to find rare, unique, hard to find, out of print, one of a kind, and sometimes just plain fun items! After constantly looking for unique gift ideas in lots of different stores and websites, we decided to create FarOutThings.com. Our goal is to find and present to you, really cool gifts that you might not normally find elsewhere. Some items are unique and one-of-a-kind. Some are old and used, some are new. Some gifts are wonderfully tacky and some are out of print. Some are expensive and some are delightfully not! We like to think they are all Far Out Things!

The Kentucky Center for Native American Arts and Culture (KCNAAC)
The Kentucky Center for Native American Arts and Culture (KCNAAC) is building an educational and interpretive Center! The purpose of the KCNAAC is to honor, celebrate and recognize Native American peoples' heritage and contributions to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the Ohio River Valley region, and other contiguous states. One important way to accomplish this is to tell the peoples' stories, and these stories vividly live in Native American song, dance, theatre, and visual arts.

The Center will be built on 85 acres overlooking the Ohio River within General Butler State Resort Park in Carrollton, Kentucky. It will house areas for permanent and traveling exhibits, a library with a research archive, an auditorium suitable for theatre and lectures, classrooms, and an art gallery and gift shop. Outdoor facilities will include an amphitheater for dance and performance, herbal and native plant gardens, nature trails, and a picnic area.

Pecos New Mexico

Pecos, New Mexico is located between Santa Fe and Las Vegas, New Mexico, at the site of a mountain pass used by travelers for centuries. This pass was used by ancient nomadic Indian tribes, by travelers on the Santa Fe Trail and was the site of a Civil War battle that changed the course of the war and of our United States of America. Pecos is a small, friendly village perched at the edge of a vast wilderness area still pristine in its offerings of fly fishing, hiking and camping.
