I am pleased to announce that Elbert Dee Walston of Native Community Radio has joined the NativeRadio family! Elbert will be programming NativeStream 7, as well as developing original content for us.

Elbert has been a storyteller for about 20 years and is Cherokee on both sides and Comanche on mothers side. He is of the Deer Clan on the Cherokee side and Turtle clan as an adopted Cheyenne.

He learned to tell stories from a Northern Cheyenne man by the name of John TwoPonies, and he tells stories from different nations. Elbert has a weekly storytelling show(30 minutes) that airs on several internet stations and a couple of FM stations. He was born and raised in Texas, has a BS in computer science.

* Can't see the new song info refresh at the top of every page? Here's how:

  • Song info now at the top of every page!
We now display the Song, Album and Artist info at the top of every page for NativeStream 6!
(Refresh your browser for current info, and check your browser settings)

You should check your browser settings to ensure that you are "always" seeing the most recent version of the webpages you visit (including NativeRadio.com). This is what to check for in Internet Explorer:

(Click "Tools", then "Internet Options")

(Click "Settings" under Temporary Internet Files)

(Click "Every visit to the page" under "Check for newer versions of stored pages:")

This allows you to always see the most current version of a webpage you visit. Many websites are "dynamic", meaning they are displaying information to you from a database (like NativeRadio.com). Changing this setting allows you catch up (smile).
